Gunmen opened fire on travellers along Jos-Zaria road, dozens killed

Jos- Armed bandits Saturday morning attacked five 18-seater buses loaded with travellers at the Gada-biyu area of Jos-Zaria road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The attack left no fewer than 20 persons dead and and many others injured.

AsphericNews gathered from witnesses that the travellers were on their way to Jos while from an Islamic New Year prayers organised by a renowned cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, in Bauchi State.

According to DailyNigerian reporter 22 dead bodies have been deposited at the Plateau Specialist Hospital.

A survivor, Muhammad Ibrahim, said about 50 of his co-travellers had fled into the bush.
