COVID-19: Bayelsa Govt lifts ban on Churches, Mosques …urges them to adhere to safety measures
Bayelsa state Governor on Tuesday lifted ban on Churches and Mosques in the state as he urged them to strictly adhere to safety measures put in place.
Following this development, religious organisations in Bayelsa State are now free to hold mid-week services, as ordered by Governor Douye Diri.
The governor while handing down the directive also urged religious leaders to continue to maintain all existing COVID-19 protocols during worship as the pandemic was far from over.
Bayelsa State currently has 339 confirmed cases of the virus out of which 21 persons have died.
