Lady Antebellum Changes Name Over its Connection with Slavery
An American country music band with the name Lady Antebellum has changed its band name to Lady A.
The group is composed of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood. Scott is the daughter of country music singer Linda Davis.
The band who recently discovered that Antebellum has a connection with slavery. And has decided to stop using it, looking at the recent racial discrimination which led to the death of George Floyd.
So, the band will no longer be called Lady Antebellum, but Lady A.
