Ronaldo to buy medical equipment to help fight coronavirus
Cristiano Ronaldo has followed the example of Jorge Mendes and started to buy medical equipment for São João de Oporto to fight coronavirus.
Jorge Mendes has started to purchase medical supplies for São João hospital in Porto in an effort to fight the virus’ impact in Portugal. The football agent has purchased 200,000 medical gowns and three ventilators.
In the next few days, he will purchase and donate something the whole world is looking for in the form of 50,000 masks. He will also donate money to Portuguese hospitals.
AS understands that Mendes’ initiative will be followed by several footballers among them his client Cristiano Ronaldo. They are waiting for more footballers to join the fight against the pandemic.
Ronaldo is currently in Madeira with his family after his mother suffered a stroke recently.
He travelled there with the okay from Juventus.
