Kidnapped NSCDC officers, 5 JAMB staff released in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the release of the four personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) that were kidnapped around Ajegwu in Kogi State.

The statement by the police also confirmed the release of five Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) staffs kidnapped along the Obajana-Kabba road, adding that all the Kidnapped victims were hale and hearty and have reunited with their families. The statement did not disclose if ransoms were paid.

The NSCDC officers were said to be on their way to Benue state for a promotional examination, before they were abducted by gunmen. The freed JAMB workers were headed to Kogi West from Abuja, before they were abducted.
