President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the President and people of China on the 2020 Chinese Lunar year celebration.
In a special letter sent to the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, Buhari said year 2020 is also the 20th anniversary of Forum for China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and wished the people of China a happy celebration. “The past year has also been a productive one for China-Nigeria relations. “The all-round, wide-ranging and high-quality bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and China has been further intensified, and our belief in the One China policy re-affirmed. “There is a new impetus in Nigeria-China relations and we have new opportunities for mutual benefits,” President Buhari said.
Chinese New Year, or the Spring Festival, celebrates the beginning of a new year according to the traditional Chinese calendar. The festivities start on a different date every year and are also often referred to as the Lunar New Year, because it’s based on the lunar calendar rather than the Gregorian
