The federal capital territory (FCT) police command has said their officers and men did not kill any protester during the #EndBadGovernance and hunger protest in Abuja.
In a statement, Josephine Adeh, FCT police spokesperson, said the officers attached to the protesters acted professionally.
Adeh said reports of killing of protesters by police operatives in the FCT were “speculations”.
“Contrary to speculations, operatives of the FCT police command have conducted themselves civilly and professionally,” she said.
“I can honestly state that our officers did not kill any protesters. In fact, no lethal weapons were issued; only anti-riot equipment was provided.”
