Chinese Navy Ship Berthed In Lagos, NN Says Visit Geared Towards Strengthening Relations Between Nigeria, China.
Chinese Navy Escort Task Group (ETG) 162 comprising MSL Destroyer NANNING, MSL Frigate SANYA, and Supply Ship WEISHANHU arrived off Lagos 2 July 2023. MSL Destroyer NANNING berthed in Lagos for a Port call from 2-6 July 2023.
On behalf of Nigerian Navy, the outgoing Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral JD Akpan received the Chinese Navy Ship.
Admiral Akpan said the visit is geared towards strengthening the bilateral relations between Nigeria and China.
