Man trapped in cave, rescued after 53hrs
Two hundred and fifty people worked in shift to bring him to safety-Howell Griffith
It has been reported that an experienced caver who was caving in Brecon Beacons , UK on Saturday fell and suffered, multiple injuries has now been rescued after 53hrs by 250 volunteers in the British cave rescue team.
According to report by Howell Griffin a BBC correspondent that was present at the scene, “After more than two days of painstaking exhausting work…relief all around”
“Together this volunteers carried the casualty through an underground assault course of builders streams and ledges, the longest stretcher carry over, by a British cave rescue team”
Giving an account of the event, The British rescue team spokesman Paul Taylor stated “The casualty is an experienced caver in his forties on Saturday fell and suffered, multiple injuries but could talk to his rescuers throughout”
“If you consider how long he has been in the car, how long, he’s been in the stretcher, he is doing very well indeed he’s been talking to the medics along the way …”
