Unknown gunmen Abduct Niger State Information Commissioner

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Niger State, Mallam Idris Mohammed has been abducted by suspected bandits.
Mohammed was reportedly abducted on Sunday night at his Baban Tunga residence in the Tafa Local Government Area of the state.
Populations in the northwest and northeast regions of Nigeria are facing an ever-increasing threat of banditry, a type of organized crime that includes kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, rape, cattle-rustling, and the exploitation of environmental resources.
