Enhanced Performance and Productivity Crucial to Service Delivery -Dr Magdalene
In a bid for sustainable development and improved service delivery in the Transportation Sector , the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani has charged staff of the Ministry on perfomance and productivity that will ensure effective, efficient and improved service delivery that will transform the transportation sector.
Dr. Magdalene made this known when she met with Staff of the Ministry during the 2020 edition of the Annual Town Hall meeting held in Abuja, recently.
The Permanent Secretary used the opportunity to answer questions from staff bothering on training, working tools, office accommodation, parking lots, among others, promising to meet their demands within available resources.
She then pointed out that life is reciprocal, so as government is doing its best to improve working conditions to enhance the performance of staff, they need to work hard in accordance with the Civil Service Rules.
She encouraged every department to have monthly meetings where presentations are made as a way of training up-coming officers on the job. She further adviced that all should be ICT compliant.
Speaking earlier, the Director, Human Resources Management, Auwal Sani described the Permanent Secretary as a team player who is focused, calm, intelligent and a good listener.
In his remarks , the President of Joint Union Negotiating Council of the Ministry, Engr. Kolawole Olufemi commended the PS for being available for the Town Hall meeting as it is a great opportunity for her and the Staff to ventilate on issues of concern.
Furthermore, he stated that the outcomes of the meeting will in no small measure impact positively on the staff and the Ministry as a whole .
