PHOTONEWS: Ministry of Transportation hosts 2020 World Maritime Day
The Federal Ministry of Transportation Thursday hosted the 2020 World Maritime Day Celebration at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos. Attending the event virtually, were the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Minister of State for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki.
Special Guest of Honour and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, declared that event open, while the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Deputy, Femi Hamzat was the Chief Host.
Others include officials of the Nigerian Port Authority, the National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA and the Nigerian Shippers Council. Others are the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria, CRFFN, and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, NITT.
