John Enebele as and Dr. Israel Ibeleme as Guest Speaker.

In his opening remark, the Convener, Mr Longji Dambok, said the essence of the organization and the booklet, was to make the Next Level mantra, more than a campaign slogan, but a tool to draw awareness to the need for the Youth of the Nation to have a change of attitude, change of mind-set and a clarion call for support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s admistration. Mr Dambok affirmed his commitment toward ensuring that that booklet gets to every Nigerian Youth at no cost.

Dambok said, “The NEXT LEVEL NIGERIAN YOUTH PROJECT is an initiative born out of a passion to extend and give voice to the Next Level agenda of Government to the generality of Nigerian Youths through an objective process of raising awareness, and emphasizing the expectations of the Government to the youths by the instrumentality of our customized intellectual, informative and educative moral booklet-THE NEXT LEVEL NIGERIAN YOUTH, as well as other means. The idea is to ensure that every youth in Nigeria has a copy of the booklet to know and understand their expected responsibility in actualizing the NEXT LEVEL Agenda amongst the youth constituency. It is said, if you want to change a man, change the way he thinks; and to change the way he thinks, educate him. During the last general elections, the present-day Government secured the mandate to lead Nigeria on the strength of the slogan: THE NEXT LEVEL.

“Given the potency and promises the slogan holds,  Nigerians are eagerly waiting to see the President Muhammadu Buhari led Government fulfill the promise of taking them to the NEXT LEVEL of economic prosperity and national cohesion.”

The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Patience Tallen who was represented by Mrs Iweaga Priscilua, noted that the Ministry of Women Affairs has among its responsibilities, the task of protecting the women, adolescents and the Children. She noted that in the capacity, the Ministry is open to ideas that are capable of improving the welfare of the young people. She commended the Organizers of the group for taking steps to make the Next Level, more than a political slogan.

In his keynote address, Dr. Israel Ibeleme highlighted the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari and members of the Executives like Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who facilitated and completed projects like the Itakpe-Ajaokuta Warri Railway. He further noted that under this administration, the President has invested on human capacity development and other numerous completed projects, including the N-power, Trader money and 774,000 jobs created in 774 Local Governments.

According to him, “It is pertinent and paramount for us to acknowledge the strategic position of the Youths in deciding the fate of our Country. The Youths contribute to 50% of Nigerian population and as such, our prerogative disposition to decide who governs the Country, the public opinion or perception of governance and how best our Country will go forward wouldn’t be questioned. Therefore, we must rise up at all time to be partners and not pretenders in the quest to get Nigeria into the desired NEXT LEVEL.

“I can categorically tell you that there are youth who are very industrious and enterprising; they give their time to things that will put money into their hand without being lazy. They are always on a lookout for something beneficial for them.  Anytime you meet such youth he or she is busy with things that will guarantee financial freedom.”

Also speaking, the representative of the Honourable Minister of Transportation and Chief Launcher, Hon. John Enebele poured encomium on His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, whose personal integrity can be proven and tasted. He noted that integrity is deficient in the country, hence, the low participation of young people in key leadership positions.
