Flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Edo State Election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, assured people of the State, of job creation via investments in agricultural development, if elected as governor.
Ize-Iyamu disclosed his intentions during his ward-to-ward campaign at HAgbede, Iyakpi, and Auchi in Etsako-West Local Government. He said Edo was made up of agrarian communities that could grow the state’s economy and further revealed that he would revive rice production capacity at Agbede through the use of empowerment loans to farmers.
He also said that he would prioritize youth and women empowerment and renovation of schools.
“If elected, agriculture will be prioritized because of its potential to create jobs and improve the Gross Domestic Product. “Agbede has the potential to supply rice to every area in the state if farmers are supported to grow the crop,” he said.
