President Buhari Congratulates Nigerian Appointed Minister Of Justice in Canada
President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the appointment of Nigerian-born Kaycee Madu as a Minister in Canada. This is contained in a statement signed by Femi Adesina, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.
In Canada’s history, Madu is the first African to be appointed a Minister and is also first to be the Provincial Secretary and Keeper of the Great Seal of the Province of Alberta.
According to the statement, “President Buhari classified the appointment of Madu as “landmark and historic,” saying it once again presents people of Nigerian descent as go-getters, who distinguish themselves in different walks of life. The statement further noted that “as the first Black Justice Minister and Solicitor-General in Canada, Madu has written himself into history books,” urging Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to remain good ambassadors of their country.
