Gunmen kill one person in Eleme, Rivers
Gunmen on Thursday killed one person during a robbery at a company called “Ja Four” in Agbonchi Eleme in Rivers State.
An eyewitness said the gunmen suspected to be armed robbers stormed the company premises just about 2PM and shot the victim dead.
The witness also said the victim, who was a native of Akwa-Ibom State, was with colleagues at the company site where they mine sand from a river in the area,
However, our source noted that two of the gunmen were arrested by the security aides of Eleme Local Government Chairman, Philip Okparaji who was around the area.
The source also said other members of the robbery gang escaped as residents and business owners scampered for safety while the gun battle lasted.
