Boko Haram kills 4 in Damboa – Maiduguri road ambush
Some suspected Boko Haram group, yesterday laid an ambush and opened fire on over a hundred motorists with military escort conveying passengers from Maiduguri to Damboa LGA of the troubled Borno State.
According to a source who said: “The attack which occurred near Pole Wire, which is about 40km drive to Damboa has left four people dead, with several others including security personnel with injuries.”
Another survivor, who drove a Volkswagen Golf saloon car, Mallam Isa Aliyu and was heading to Mubi, in Adamawa State, but made a quick u-turn to Maiduguri said he sustained injuries in the attack.
Several efforts were made to get confirmation from Police Public Relations Officer, Edet Okon but all attempts proved abortive as he was not reachable at the time.
