Court fixes June 9th to rule on Rivers APC cases on stalled congresses
Two judgments between chieftains of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, on Monday, stalled at a State High Court in Port Harcourt.
Igo Aguma and Dele Moses and nine others filed the suits against the APC and its National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The clerk to presiding Judge, Justice George Omereji’s court, announced that the judgment would come up tomorrow 9th of June due to coronavirus directives that affected days of court sitting.
Aguma had amongst other prayers approached the court to secure an injunction stopping ward, local government and state Congresses that was scheduled late last year, demanding that reconciliation be done before any Congress.
Similarly, one Dele Moses and nine others dragged the APC and Adams Oshiomhole to court asking the court to interpret the judgment of Justice Chinwendu Nworgu.
The plaintiffs also want the courts to declare them the authentic members of the party to conduct the primaries to occupy wards, Local Government and State executives.
