Appellate court: Buhari nominates Dongban-Mensem as substantive President

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday nominated the Acting President, the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, as the substantive President of the appellate court.

In a statement, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said President Buhari sent the letter of the nomination to the Senate for confirmation of Justice Dongban-Mensem.

The statement added that Justice Dongban-Mensem is a serving Justice of the Court of Appeal and was recommended, as is the practice, by the National Judicial Council for the nomination by the President.
