Abia State loses its Commissioner for Environment
The Abia State Government has announced the demise of its Commissioner for Environment Chief Solomon Ogunji.
The news of his death was made known, by the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. John Okiyi Kalu in a press release and this was made available to reporters in Umuahia, on Sunday.
Mr. Solomon passed on at the ASUT, Abia State University Teaching Hospital, after a brief illness relating to high blood pressure.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu however, expressed sadness over the Commissioner’s demise and said the news of his death came with a great shock and describe the death as unfortunate.
Ikpeazu further condoled with the family of the deceased Commissioner, friends, and well-wishers and prayed that God Almighty grant the family of Dr. Ogunji the heart to bear the irreparable loss and that his soul rests in peace in the bosom of the Lord.
