Abuja RCCG to hold online services, advices congregants on personal hygiene
As a precautionary measure against the Coronavirus pandemic, the Throne Room Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Abuja has announced an alteration in the mode of it’s Sunday Worship Service. The parish which holds its services in the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, disclosed this on Saturday.
In a statement by the Pastor in charge of the Parish, Tunde Benjamins-Laniyi, the decision to hold its service online, was a precautionary measure against the Coronavirus pandemic. Pastor Laniyi said: “We would like to officially inform you that there will be No Physical Church service at RCCG Throne Room tomorrow.
“This is in alignment with precautionary and proactive measures being taken globally and nationally by governments and organizations to aggressively curb the spread of the corona virus.”
The statement further encouraged members of the Church to be strong in Faith at this moment, as well as following stipulated personal hygiene guidelines.
Meanwhile, Nigeria has confirmed 22 cases of the Coronavirus (Covid 19). The outbreak which erupted in Wuhan, China, has killed more than 9,000 and infected over 200,000 persons globally.
