A Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama has granted an interim order allowing Victor Giadom to pilot the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as acting chairman and to preside over all National Executive Council meetings of the APC.

Responding to a motion ex-parte filed by O.C.Ugwu, Esq., Justice S.U Bature gave the order allowing Giadom to preside at all meetings of the National Executive Committee. The order also restrained any other officer of the party from acting in the capacity of the Acting Chairman of the party, until a decision is taken at the National Executive committee meeting of the Party.

In a related development, President Muhammadu Buhari and Governors of the All Progressives Congress have agreed to postpone the National Executive Council meeting of the party scheduled for March 17, 2020. The Chairman of the APC Governors’ forum and Governor of Kebbi state, Mr. Atiku Bagudu made the announcement after the President met with APC Governors at the State House on Monday. Mr. Bagudu said the postponement is to avail Governors of ample time to resolve pressing issues affecting the party.
