Dangote, Fayemi intervenes in Ganduje- Sanusi feud

Amidst a lingering feud between the Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje and the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi, have reportedly initiated a dialogue between the two.
According to a press statement by Governor Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, Ganduje exchanged Sallah pleasantries with Sanusi in Abuja on Friday. “As the two leaders met, they congratulated each other for the successful completion of the month of Ramadhan Fast and the Sallah festive period,’’ while Sanusi formally congratulated Governor Ganduje on his victory at the Supreme Court.
Ganduje had earlier spoken on the tug of war, saying: “It is a constitutional issue and the governor and the Emir, we are working within our own jurisdictions and the problem will be solved amicably and constitutionally.”
