Banditry: Four killed, one injured in Jema’a local government, Kaduna

The Kaduna State government have reported the killing of four persons in Jema’a Local Government Area of the state. The attack which took place on Tuesday has left four dead and one person injured.

According to reports, the armed bandits invaded the community and killed four residents.

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.

He said: “Two of the victims were attacked and killed on their farms by the assailants; one woman sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to hospital,”

The four who lost their lives were identified as- Wakili Kon- Yusuf Joshua- Martha Ayuba.- Lami Peter

Wakili Kon and Yusuf Joshua were attacked and killed on their farms by the assailants.

While, one woman, Laraba Silas, sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to hospital.

Mr. Samuel Aruwan said security agencies reported the attack on Goska community in Jema’a Local Government Area of the state.

The commissioner also said with a heavy heart that Governor Nasir el-Rufai expressed sadness at the reports and prayed for the repose of the souls of the residents who were killed by the bandits.

While the Kaduna state governor extended his condolences to the family of the victims, he assured them that the state is looking into the matter.

The commissioner of Police, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, however assured the public that investigations are being carried out to ensure the speedy capture of the perpetrators of such evil act.
