The Portuguese gaffer, whose portfolio cuts across the biggest clubs in Europe has found a new job after being sacked as Tottenham head coach.
Following his sacking at Tottenham which came as a result of controversial events in recent weeks, Jose Mourinho is set to take charge of Roma from 2021-22 on a three-year contract.
The two-time champions league winner was relieved of his duties at Tottenham on April 19 after failing to make the expected impact necessary for the club and was subsequently replaced.
Mourinho however, still remains a highly sought after coach, especially in Italy where he previously lifted the Champions league trophy with Inter Milan and is now Roma’s new Head coach.
In a statement released on the club’s official website, president Dan Friedkin and vice-president Ryan Friedkin have said: “We are thrilled and delighted to welcome Jose Mourinho into the AS Roma family.”
A great champion who has won trophies at every level, Jose will provide tremendous leadership and experience to our ambitious project.
“The appointment of Jose is a huge step in building a long-term and consistent winning culture throughout the club.”
