Kaduna State University also known as KASU management has reacted to the ongoing rumours making rounds on the social media over the increment of tuition fees from N26,000 to N500,000,
According to an issued statement by the management, there are ongoing consultations with stakeholders to do further review claiming that ythere haven’t been any official public announcement.
The confirmation statement by the management was made available to journalists in Kaduna on Friday, April 23, by the university’s Public Relation Officer, Adamu Bargo
Explaining Mr Bargo said that the further review was due to the current reality and efforts intended to foster the standard of learning.
He went further to say that the decision was also to augment development in the university.
The PRO said that the existing record showed that N400 million was being spent monthly and N4.8 billion annually by the Kaduna State Government I order to pay the university’s staff salaries.
Claiming that N25 million was also being spent as overhead monthly, while only N765.9 million is being generated by the university, as internally generated revenue annually.
