CORONAVIRUS, 5G and the antichrist STORIES

Spread the love

Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, there are series of Conspiracy Theories and outright lies being circulated. This post attempts to address some of them.

For decades, conspiracy theorists have always exploited human’s susceptible nature at critical times, for financial gains. They employ every available means to phase out cognitive resonance, and build confirmation biases to support their points. On the foreign scene, the likes of Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones, have made millions of dollars from cooking and peddling conspiracy theories. Our own Nnamdi Kanu and FFK have only been able to stay politically relevant through the instruments of conspiracy theories.

The Coronavirus pandemic has raised an army of conspiracy theorists and rumour mongers whose messages are earning them millions of dollars through millions of viewership on Youtube, and Traffic to their websites. At the same time, they are causing people to panic, and making others ignore precautionary measures from Health authorities, thereby impeding efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

In recent days, people have talked of Coronavirus being caused by the development of 5G technologies, while some claim the Coronavirus is a cover up for it. On the list of the peddlers are Keri Hilson- whose musical career died following her feud with Beyonce, and our own Senator Dino Melaye who lost his seat at the Senate and his bid for Kogi’s Governorship seat.

HERE ARE PROVABLE FACTS:

The fifth generation of cellular technology (5G) is a cutting edge technology that aims to deliver data rates that are 10 to 100 times faster than current 4G networks. It is a significant improvement on 4G LTE with the intentions of increasing speed, lowering latency and the fostering the connectivity of more devices at once. 5G like our Televisions runs on radio wave band which emits non-ionizing radiation, and according to Medical experts, it lacks sufficient energy to break apart DNA and cause cellular damages. The same way your 3G and 4G isn’t causing cancer, 5G does not cause cancer.

The World Health Organisation, which has a detailed guide on the mobile network, has said “no adverse health effect has been linked with exposure to wireless technologies” like the 5G, even after “much research” was carried out.

The coronavirus does not have any link with 5G technology which in itself has not been scientifically proven to be harmful to health. Covid-19, Severe Acute Respiratory syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) are from the same family. There was no 5G technology in 2002 when SARS broke out or in 2012, when the first case of MERS was reported. Nothing connects Coronavirus with 5G. 5G runs on frequencies while Coronavirus is transmitted through droplets from mouth and nose. The rates of fatalities does not tally with Nations that have functional 5G network, else South Korea will be leading on the list of countries with high deaths arising from Covid-19.

I will refrain from talking about 5G, apocalypse and the antichrist conspiracy theories because that alone, ridicules common sense. As unrelated as they are, it is sad people have bought the lies, making people question the rationality in the things SOME Christians believe in.

At the center of this 5G, antichrist and Coronavirus crapola, is Mark Biltz whose book on Amazon; ‘Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times’, is selling faster. A man who is condemning 5G and AI, is selling his book on a platform using AI.

Many of these conspiracy theorists are further spicing their lies with stories of microchips being imbedded in vaccines, urging people to reject the vaccines when they become available. These are the same people who said the U.S. government was using the “impending U.S. Ebola pandemic” to embed RFID chips in all Americans via an Ebola vaccine in 2014.

The world will defeat the pandemic with the right actions and discipline (Like in China). Wash hands regularly, cover nose when coughing or sneezing and stay at home. Practice social distancing in moments when going out becomes very necessary. This is a time to stay safe, and it includes avoiding disinformation and unfounded conspiracy theories.
