Rivers Ijaws select delegates for IYC elective convention

There are indications that preparations are stepping up in Rivers State ahead of the election of the National Executive Committee of the Ijaw Youth Congress, IYC Worldwide.

This indication followed a forum of the Eastern Zonal IYC to ratify delegates for Electoral Committee for the elective convention.

The IYC Eastern Zonal Chairman, SAMMY GEORGE spoke to our correspondent in Port Harcourt on the significance of the convention following the selection of delegates.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Abuloma Clan, RANSOM IYALLA OPUIYO also expressed the commitment of his exco to serve the Ijaw Youth Congress.

Our correspondent reports that IRENE JUMBO and GBARASI BROWN are representatives of the zone at the convention.
