Newly appointed Council Chairman dies in Abia State

One of the newly appointed Transition committee chairmen in Abia State, Mr. Maurice Onyekachi Okoro has been reported dead. 52 years old Mr Okoro who was sworn in as the Transition Committee Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Area in Abia State, alongside 16 others on December 20, 2019, is said to have slumped on Thursday, at his residence in Umuahia.

According to our source, the late Council chairman slumped shortly after returning from a meeting in the Council. He was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
