Three Americans killed in al-Shabab attack in Kenya

Terrorists group, al-Shabab has reportedly killed a U.S. military service member and two contractors in an attack on camp Simba, a military base in Manda Island, Kenya. The base used by the Kenyan military also houses the U.S. Africa Command forces. Many others are said to have been injured in the attack.
Commander of the US Africa Command, Gen. Stephen Townsend in a statement sympathized with families of victims of the attack, while reaffirming the Commitment of the U.S. military in preventing terrorism attack on the U.S. and other partner nations.
Gen. Stephen Townsend said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of our teammates who lost their lives today.
He further said ”As we honor their sacrifice, let’s also harden our resolve. Alongside our African and international partners, we will pursue those responsible for this attack and al-Shabaab who seeks to harm Americans and U.S. interests. We remain committed to preventing al-Shabaab from maintaining a safe haven to plan deadly attacks against the U.S. homeland, East African and international partners”.
“The wounded Americans are currently in stable condition and being evacuated,” Gen. Stephen added.
